Reviewed by Barney's Mom from Minnesota on Monday, January 20, 2014Never having tried snowshoes before, I bought these to break trail around my yard and house for my small dogs to have a larger area to run. I've used them twice so far this season and really like them. I'm able to move easily - without falling down - and now also use them when I'm doing chores, such as refilling the bird feeders or the corn crib for the deer. Only thing I don't like is the back strap does not come off as easily as they say. I have to completely release the strap - then re-fix it for the next time. Other than that, these are great for a beginner like me.
Reviewed by Tommy from Colorado on Friday, January 17, 2014I bought these snowshoes to be a lender pair for visitors. A good friend who shoed 20 years ago strapped these on and headed with me into the back country of Rocky Mountain National Park. I was wearing a pair of well-known and reliable shoes, but my friend was able to keep up with me with no problems. In these shoes, he followed me through rolling terrain and steep climbs and descents. The shoes adhered to the ground with minimal slides, and the poles were solid under his use. He found the binding system easy to adjust and to get out of. Overall, his experience was overwhelmingly positive, which let to our having a great time in the back country.
Reviewed by Qyota from Minnesota on Thursday, January 2, 2014I know I could have spent twice as much, but I feel like these are a great value. The toe straps are very snug, and they tighten and release quickly and without fuss. On harder surfaces (packed snow), the shoes tend to toe-in, which makes walking a bit awkward. In the powder, they are perfect.
Reviewed by CopperGalVT from Vermont on Sunday, December 29, 2013While he has yet to try them out, my boyfriend loved this Christmas gift. Everything is there to have a great time. We are looking forward to snow to check them out. I'll write back again to update the review when they have been field tested.
