    I live in FL...my need for a wool coat is nonexistent. I bought this because it was so cool and now I just love it. The fabric is soft and warm and comfortable. Everything zips apart easily. There are 4 pockets and two have zippers. It’s just super cool. I will plan stuff for cool weather just to break this in.

    The quality is extremely high. I really like the plain fit, not sure I would ever use the zipper to make it shorter but I tend to like extra functionality as a design detail over frills and flourishes. For the price this is a GREAT purchase!

    I seldom purchase items without review, so this is a clarification and addendum. Coat looks nice with bottom zipped off, is straight and boxy (like coat with additional length.) Looks like a black wool parka with the hood (and the faux fur is lightly attached thus can be removed if not desired). Everything fits together easily, zippers are easy to use and pieces easily removed & then put back on. I took a star away because the style is pretty stark, especially if you enjoy a bit of feminine to a jacket. Lots of people would give this jacket 5 stars because it is so amazingly functional, comfortable and well made. I purchased thinking I might end up returning it. I won't. I just plan to tailor to my exact size. (Slightly large for me. Usually wear a 4 and this was a 6.)
