Steep country mountain trekkers

I got these boots for elk hunting in the steep country of North Idaho. They are great boots for steep terrain where you need and stiff sole and lots of ankle support. They are very rugged and provide plenty of support. Coming from a hiking boot, these almost feel like ski boots. They are a little awkward on flat terrain but when the terrain starts getting vertical, these boots really shine.

Break has been pretty easy so far. Got a small hotspot on the back of both heals but a little adjustment of the laces locked my heals down and I haven't had an issue since.

I was a little concerned about sizing as I've read some things about zamberlan being large for their size. I called them directly and they advised me to order the size I normally where, 12. The fit is a little larger than a lowa 12 but not by much. Actually they fit me perfect, as I was kind of between sizes with the lowa.

Construction is superb, you can really tell these are high end boots.
