Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Mystro from Central Pa. on Saturday, November 19, 2016These are very well built. I own a lot of quality boots and there isn't a domestic boot that even comes close to this kind of quality. These are Zamberlan's top tier line of backpacking boot and feel like a $400 pair of boots. I typically wear a 11.5 wide and the Vioz fit perfectly in 45.5 wide. They are on the heavy side but so well made that your foot and ankle are well protected and worth the weight. The olive brown color is attractive and works well with jeans or khaki color pants.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Curt from Kansas on Friday, October 21, 2016The workmanship in these boots are exceptional. These boots were very comfortable out of the box and have not required a lot of break in. They provide great ankle support and have a vary comfortable footbed. I normally wear 10.5 US and I ordered 44.5 EU and seemed to be spot on. I have not owned the boots long enough to give a long term rating but so far, I couldn't be happier.
Reviewed by David W. from MA on Friday, October 21, 2016This boot has a last that feels molded from my foot. I'm typically between a D and E width and the Vioz 996 standard width was a tad too narrow (I understand it's now offered in wide but I couldn't find it locally). I tried this boot initially in an 11 to allow for heavy socks but found that my street shoe size 10 was perfect. You feel like you've got substantial protection and support around your feet and ankles. The leather and stitching is first rate. You can save a few ounces with suede/nylon construction, but when you pick this boot up, the feel of the leather, and the lack of seams will have you sold. I will update after a few months of hiking to assess water resistance, comfort, and overall durability.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dog mom from sc on Sunday, September 18, 2016was a little big in the toe box had to return for 1/2 size down
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Duke91 from DC on Wednesday, September 7, 2016I was really satisfied with these boots, as they fit perfectly out of the box. I went a half-size down, based on the advice of other reviews. (I am normally a 12 Wide - ordered the 11.5). I love the color. The boots are not as green as I expected, more of an olive drab. Overall very happy!
