Would have returned them, if it was easier. Rather, I took a flame and kind of melted all the loose threads. (2) I have worn XL "polypro" bottoms since they first hit the US; these do not have enough rise on the butt side of things. Plumber's Crack. Your results and your body may vary. I would, obviously, not buy again.

For normal outdoor daily use they are lightweight so wear as a base layer under normal bottoms. The fabric washes well and has not shrunk yet very happy with the item
