My usual size is 5-1/2. I have trouble finding anything lower then a 6 so a lot of my shoes are sixes. I went ahead and bought a 6-1/2...just in case. Loosening the laces as much as possible, I couldn't get my foot in. My everyday shoes are a name brand that has run narrow since back in the day when people started buying them. The pair I have is a six and they're fine. Unfortunately I will be planning a trip across town to take these back! I would suggest going up a full size, if you want these. But since you can only loosen the laces up so much that is not an option.

So many shoes don't do well on ice. These do. Maybe slightly narrow so if in doubt, go up a half size.
