5.0 out of 5 stars. classy

I bought this to use in place of a suit when working with clients. It's professional enough to use in that way. In my size, a petite was not available, so I ordered a regular. It was longer in the length than I prefer, but my seamstress can alter the length for me. Pendleton tends to run a little small. I always go up one size in this brand, and it works very well for me. The fabric is lightweight enough to be comfortable in Georgia most of the year except possibly on the hottest days of the summer. Really nice quality dress at a great price.

A little skimpy fitting and zipper does not glide easily yet, cut color and style are fabulous. They don't make dresses like this anymore; classic, conservative, yet sexy. You should see me with my husband's coordinating green hat...we wear the same sizes.
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful but ridiculously small

I normally wear 1 12--a 14 if things are sized small. For this I tried a 16 because of size warnings, but I couldn't even zip it up once I had crammed myself into it. Beautiful dress, but you really need to be as slim as a needle and please don't have a bust! so I gave it a one star, but it's really pretty.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent quality, but cut small

This is one of the best-made dresses I've seen in a long time. True to the Pendleton brand, the garment is well-constructed with top quality wool and expertly lined. The only down side (and the reason I returned it) is that it is cut small. If you're a size 16, it should fit perfectly!

Perfect cut and drape and the fabric is just lovely.

About Pendleton

The history of Pendleton blankets dates back to the mid-19th century, when a young man named Thomas Kay travelled west to Oregon and opened a mill in Salem. Kay’s grandchildren eventually went on to establish a mill in Pendleton, Oregon, which crafted blankets and robes for American Indians living in the region, including the Nez Perce, Navajo and Hopi nations. By the early 20th century, the Pendleton clothing line was expanded to include suiting and apparel, including the now legendary Pendleton virgin wool shirt. Today, this renowned American brand owns and operates seven manufacturing facilities as well as 75 Pendleton retail stores.
