Then I saw this on STP for a larger one for less and thought I'd try it. Glad I did! It is a gorgeous pale brown with a lavender tint. Very light in color, but beautiful and so soft! I can't wait for her to receive it (holding it out as a gift.) I do suspect I will need a bit of undercarpet anti-skid matting to hold it in place on her floor, but it is lofty and large and a steal at the sale price.

She then proceeded to dig at it to fluff it up and curled up on it ! Needless to say the whole family from 4 year old to grandmother,dogs included,love these pelts. They are also vacuumed frequently.They are a welcome addition to the house in this New Hampshire winter.

The rug I received was mighty skimpy, but then again the tag said "Snow Peak," not Auskin. Another tag indicated that the suggested use was over an easy chair, and the word "pet" did not appear. That would have been fine, since if it's just a single-pelt sheepskin rug, why specify? However, in addition to the usual luxe quality of sheepskin pelts being entirely absent, the color was not light brown but lavender. Misstated brand and color AND low quality. C'mon, STP!!

Not sure why this is only marketed towards a let bed. This is way nicer than the sheepskins I've bought at some big warehouse stores like Cost Co and IK EA. It's on par with the $150 sheepskins at specialty fur stores I've been to.
I bought the chocolate one to go on the seat portion if a leather chair. It is a nice deep rich chocolate color with thick, soft fur and doesn't shed. It's machine washable as well.
