5.0 out of 5 stars. Fit well, feel good
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Northwoods Year 'Rounder from Northern Wisconsin on Monday, October 5, 2015
I ordered these bottoms in a M, and the top in a L. I am 5'8", 138 lb with an athletic build and long legs. I am not a large-framed person, but my base layers usually don't fit: they are usually too tight and too short. These however fit perfectly! So well that I went back to find more of them in my size and they were sold out. No matter, if they fit other people as well as they fit me, I hope they are as happy with them as I am...especially if they live in a cold wet winter climate like I do.

The pants are so comfortable and were a life saver on my November camping trip in the UP. Great base layer and true to size
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Quality I expect from HH

As stated, these bottoms are made of quality material and excellent workmanship. I am a 10P/MP (only 5'2"), so they run long, but that's to be expected. HH and SmartWool are two high-end brands that I always look for when shopping for outdoor clothing and you can't beat the prices on STP. I purchased these as a base layer under insulated snow pants and expect them to provide the warmth that I need because of the wool material and close fit. I purchased a large and they are a bit long and big, but not so much so that I want to pay the shipping to return them. I'll make it work!

Better than every other brand and we've tried them all.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Wearing them right now - cozy!

Merino wool just works for me as a baselayer. I started adding Merino baselayer items to my wardrobe after hearing a presentation by an experienced guide. Love it, love it, love it. Over the years, I've tried silk, polypropylene, and other fabrics. Merino holds in the warmth without making me sweaty. I get cold in the winter sitting at my desk, and these are just perfect for wearing under my pants. They aren't as thin as silk or other long underwear, so be aware you'll want roomy pants to put them under.

About Helly Hansen

Although he started the business way back 1877 with a small selection of hand-stitched oilskin jackets, Norwegian sea captain Helly Hansen will forever be remembered as one of the founding fathers of waterproof clothing. Now, more than a 130 years later, the Helly Hansen outerwear and clothing company still sets a high bar for weather-conquering jackets, gale-blocking pants and outdoor-ready apparel. Although waterproof breathable rainwear is what put this brand on the map, Helly Hansen ski jackets have been helping people stay dry on the slopes for decades and Helly Hansen boots are ready to go wherever your adventurous spirit leads you.
