I ordered several similar down jackets (Marmot Guides Down Jacket, Outdoor Research Sonata) to try on, and this one was the winner. The color is great, the shape is straight instead of flared to accommodate your assumed lady figure but without being boxy. It did take me a few days to trust its ability to keep me warm. It's so light and slim I didn't feel as secure in it at first, but it's super-warm! Sizes run small and the torso is cut a little short (at the hip bones) which is perfect for my height and body shape but might be an issue if you have a longer torso or like a jacket to reach your hips. Also, it does shed some down pieces here and there, but not in high volume.

I am a solid Medium: size 10-12. But I do have broad shoulders, and although I don't picture my self as a "hippy" woman, apparently my hips are too big for a medium. I ordered a medium to wear under my Marmot Precip jacket for our late fall here in the mountains. Alas, there are no size Large left. So I have to find a comparable jacket elsewhere. That is the only reason I left this at a rating of 4. It is a very high quality jacket!

The materials seems to be of top quality and have plenty of down fill. I feared that it wasn't warm enough but comparing it with a Patagonia down jacket I think it's even warmer and the price is much lower.
