Yes, it's a wee bit scratchy, but it is not bad at all. It hangs nicely, it's flattering, it's beautiful, and the length is perfect. Neve products always run a little small for me--i'm 5'2", 137 pounds, and the Large is perfect. But then, I don't like things that are clingy or form-fitting.

Not the holy grailReviewed by Anonymous from Vancouver, BC on Thursday, September 15, 2016This is not Neve's addictive super-fine double knit fabric that is so soft and warm that it is almost impossible to wear any other clothes. It is a simple knit of a slightly scratchier wool, and the funnel neck is sort of an angora-ish wool that sheds a bit on the rest of the dress.
This is, however, a slightly more wearable design than Neve usually makes in dresses. The length, though still on the short side, is not embarrassing for anyone over 30. The fit, instead of being uncompromisingly tight, is a flattering swing shape - which, on the other hand, is not quite as warm through the midsection. They put sleeves on this dress, which is good, and also, Neve has finally come up with a neckline that makes sense on a winter dress. It's reasonably flattering too, although, like the body of the dress, a touch itchier than you expect from Neve.
Returning a Neve dress is simply not an option, but I have to admit I am not quite as thrilled about this as I usually am, dollar for dollar, about Neve products. But if I were not familiar with Neve's usual standard, I would be absolutely delighted with this.
I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs, and the Large is a comfortable but still flattering fit.
