Jacket shed the water nicely. Fit is great. I had tried on an XS in a nearby national sporting goods chain. I ordered a Small from Sierra (since XS was not available) and saved over $40 compared to the sporting goods store's sale price.

This one is soft and breathable (feels like a thin soft shell with a little bit of stretch), skims my body just right and keeps me dry. The hood is adjustable as well so the visor fits perfectly over the eyes.

But I returned the jacket because it is not a winter jacket. It is wrongly advertised in this website, and I believe Sierra Trading is just trying to push demand by giving ambiguous information about products. I paid $16 dollar on shipments, and I feel I wasted my time and money. Will not use this website again

I loved the style and the longer length, but it runs a little big. I suppose maybe for layering underneath. I was hoping to incorporate my existing columbia liners with this shell but the zipper system did not mesh up.

The fit is great (as described), it is a quality jacket at a very good price point. Omni heat really works, does the job without a lot of 'bulk.'

As with all Columbia items, the jacket is well made and fits perfectly.

I purchased the Light Grape color which is a beautiful royal purple color with a muted neon stripe and coordinates well with the Columbia Sportswear Veloca Vixen Omni-Tech® Omni-Heat® Snow Pants in Neon Light. Do beware that this is only a shell and you WILL need some sort of liner. I happened to have the Columbia Sportswear Mighty Lite III Omni-Heat® Jacket in Blue Vapor that fits well under the jacket and coordinates fair enough with the set. Looking forward to using this on the slopes this winter as well as a wind block and possibly in wetter weather.

It is brightly colored with all the features you'd want outside, from the hood to the cuffs, inside pockets for security and for your phone/iPod. Well-proportioned.
