3.0 out of 5 stars. Wife didn't like themReviewed by Doc from Menlo Park, CA on Thursday, February 27, 2014Long pants were on the long side, and not hemmable because of the zipper. Shorts were a bit too short. Returned.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great lightweight convertible pantsReviewed by Anonymous from Oregon on Thursday, January 9, 2014Got these pants for a trip to the tropics. They were, cool, easy to pack and very comfortable. If there is any down side to these pants, it is that the material is a little lighter weight than my other Columbia convertible pants.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Columbia PFG convertible pants-menReviewed by bobbiejansen from NJ on Wednesday, July 31, 2013although a bit baggy looking, they are perfect for hiking where you want room to move. The zip off is easy and planning on using where the shorts can be used when needed for streams.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Columbia Back Country PantsReviewed by Anonymous from Westport, CT on Saturday, July 20, 2013Ultra light weight and wrinkle resistant. Waist was a little bigger than REI. So we ended up not keeping them. Superior light weight quality to anything I saw in REI. Perfect for Boy Scouts. Zip off pant legs were of high quality construction.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Probably good for fishingReviewed by Anonymous from New York on Monday, July 15, 2013I don't fish, was thinking of these as hot summer pants for the city. I was also thinking of hiking in the country. I am satisfied with the pants on both counts, but I would probably have looked a little more carefully for something less baggy had I known.
I chose the "medium" size (I usually pick large) based on the instructions: I could probably have selected a smaller size.
Still, they are well made and really are very light-weight. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. Columbia Sportswear PFG Backcountry Convertible Pants - UPF30Reviewed by Anonymous from Oregon on Friday, May 17, 2013Nice pants, but sizing is wrong. The mediums we ordered were more like a large.
