I love the material on this blue shirt. It is cool in summer and very comfortable in winter. (even in Texas) The shirt is easy to wash and keep looking good. I am not a fisherman but I do think this would be the perfect shirt for you !! I wore a shirt like this one to Israel and it was perfect for the hot climate even when I wore it for 3 days in a row.

This makes it extremely comfortable. I wore in on a cruise and it was the perfect attire for all activities including dancing my butt off. I love this shirt, Columbia shirts are cut much bigger than other shirts. I recommend getting this shirt a size smaller and then dancing your butt off too!

It feels a little shorter in the back than the front but it's not at all too short. Similar fit to the Silver Ridge which is my favorite. You're always rolling the dice with Columbia manufacturing but luckily it worked out this time.
Great for sun protection while not being overly hot. -

The climate is very hot and VERY humid where I fish. Louisiana Marsh and the Gulf COast of MIssissippi chasing inshore saltwater species. I have tried many other brands and this one stands up for the long haul. I buy them 3 at a time and replace every 2 years. They get fished a lot and hold up well. Great product! Columbia makes other styles of this shirt with different material but this one stays the coolest in the heat.
