My 5 year old likes them EXCEPT she can't get them on. It is a struggle for her. I am still working on ways to help her get them on. Also she isn't too keen on the laces. She is a little fussy and doesn't like having the long dangle and tucking the lace in becomes a chore.

This is the 4rd pair of sneakers I buy and this is the one. Daughter has a slim foot, but not narrow, so I was having issues with all the M shoes. Bought a pair of Puma and they run wide, so I had to return them. Bought 2 different types of New Balance, one was fine but the shoelaces kept coming undone. The other pair was nice but besides the shoelaces coming undone all the time, which I really dislike, they were also wide on the sides, not sure why. So I bought these mainly because of the shoelaces. These are the only shoes my daughter wants to wear at school !! Finally she can put them on herself and they stay in place. The fit is perfect and no wobbly look when running. They go with every outfit.

Great shoes for our girlReviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Monday, March 17, 2014Haven't had them long enough to review durability, but this is the second pair of Columbia shoes we've gotten for our kids (the other was for a boy, different model). Our daughter loved the color and has been very happy with them. They'll get a ton of use as we love hiking as a family and STP has become our go to site for hiking shoes, especially for the kids.
