1.0 out of 5 stars. Horrible ShapeReviewed by Jeff from MASS on Tuesday, October 25, 2016Figured these would be okay to make the 1/3 mile walk into tree stand. WRONG. Just putting them on in the basement and I realized they are sewn wrong. The back top of the boot actually goes in about 1/2 inche and just pushes on your achilles tendon. I tried not looping through top loop, lacing tight, trying to bend material away from back (it is VERY stiff).
Overall a horrid boot, no way anyone would be able to wear it. Only thing I can think of is get them soaking wet and see if the material will give. But this is not for me to try - going back to STP... Bummer as I like them besides this issue but this renders them unusable.
as a photo is worth a thousand words this is a a few pictures showing that the top back of the boot is about an inch into your achilles -

3.0 out of 5 stars. Great and one problemVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from North Florida on Thursday, September 15, 2016I gave the. More stars in a previous review. They seem well made, look nice and fit well. After about 2 weeks the so.es started leaving black marks where I walked and the soles wore down.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by RagingTurtle from Cleveland, OH on Friday, August 19, 2016I ordered the Itasca heritage Hiking boot for my 12 year old son, specifically for going spelunking at Mammoth Cave. He felt comfortable in them during our caving crawling and climbing tour. I also plan on him using them as snow boots this winter, since they are thermolite insulated and waterproof. He likes the camo look, too. I can't comment on whether it is true to size, because I intentionally ordered it a whole size larger to give him room for socks and growth.
