I ordered the 6.5 (my usual is 6) and they work for me (I have narrow feet too) but only with thin socks. The top is soft and slouchy; I'm 5/2" and they come to the bottom of my knee. These boots aren't super substantial, but do have a non skid rubber sole. They should be great with skirts/leggings inside at my workplace....I wouldn't recommend them for true wet/bad weather boots.

I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend them highly. The buyer does need to be aware that this is a causal boot style, and is suppose to be slouchy, as it is pictured that way on the shoebox. (I think this adds to the look) I do have trouble with some boots around the calf- but these fit fine with a skinny jean or leggings. My shoe size is 10/11 depending on the brand- and I have a foot that tends to run wide. Despite this, these boots in a size 10 fit great and are comfortable. They were a bit snug upon arriving, but a short while of wearing in the house and they have stretched to my feet, and fit like a nice leather glove. The sole is a nice rubber, making them a "soft shoe" that doesn't clatter on hard flooring. These boots can be dressed up a bit, and look great with my tattered jeans. Love them!

They do come a little darker than expected and the suede makes them slouch a lot more than it appears in the picture. There is not a lot of room if you plan on wearing them with pants and are better suited for leggings.
