Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very Light but Warm
Verified Buyer Reviewed by iceandsnow09 from New Hampshire on Monday, February 16, 2009
This jacket is very light for a softshell, but very flexible. In spite of it being pretty light it is actually quite warm. The Windstopper is great in the wind and the coating on the jacket seems to bead up water pretty well (I wouldn't want to test it in a downpour, though).

A couple of things to look out for. If you are looking for a softshell that has a fleece inside, this isn't it. While the inside is sort of a soft brushed material, it isn't all that fleecy. Second, the jacket has integrated pit-zips and pockets. The front hand pockets zip up from the bottom, but just keep zipping up the side. In terms of function it is fine (just less zippers to deal with), it's just something I hadn't seen before.

Get this if you are looking something for ultralight hiking or trail running, or even ice climbing.
