New model is different fabric with more nylon over polyester. The new model has no chest Patch and it has a zipper sleeve. Not a biggy but worth mentioning.
Also.... Please be aware that a Men's medium fits like a men's SMALL in most other brands. if you are a larger side of a medium then you need a large in this Sitka jacket. I'm 5'8" 156 lbs and the medium is snug on me. I really can't get anything other than tshirt underneath. I'm okay with this though.
