5.0 out of 5 stars. Wife loved it but . . . .Verified Buyer Reviewed by Fayetteville Dad from Fayetteville, NC on Monday, December 14, 2015She loved the color, quality and style but the size was wrong for her and there were none available in a larger size. Returned with regrets.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Not quite right for meVerified Buyer Reviewed by CCKiger from Mariposa, Ca on Monday, May 18, 2015PROS: Well made, love the wool idea, warm, light weight CONS: I don't think it will be breathable enough for me. I heat up in some jackets when hiking and had hoped the wool sides would dissipate heat but it is not going to be enough. Also, in wind, I think the sides would be a detriment for staying warm. I will continue my search for something with pit zips. SIZING: I tried both small & med. I am 5'4", 108lbs. The small fit ok but I was conscious of it around my hips and with much layering it would be snug in the shoulders. The med was better but the sleeves were extremely long. Still, I would have kept the med if I were keeping the jacket.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great overall jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by migrantartist from Alaska on Sunday, March 15, 2015I am a consistent Med. So many said it ran small so I first purchased a large in what someone called a geat purple color. The purple color was geat but the side color did not match at all--sorta a periwinkle blue. Then the fit....WAY too big. I sent it back for a medium in a muted fushia color. The torso fit is super! I have a lage waist, no hips, and large breasts. The fit is not tight and not baggy but form flattering. The sleaves are rather large in diameter which does not show at all in the photo. I will not take them up and my husband said they look fine. The length of the sleaves cover my palms which I love (wish there was a thumb loop--may sew one in) The length of the torso covers my non existent hips. The warmth is great and feels less staticy than a down jacket--may just be my imagination.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Too bigVerified Buyer Reviewed by MT Tiff from Montana on Monday, February 9, 2015The photo looks sleek but the actual item is not true to size. I usually wear a small and the small was hanging around the mid section in a unflattering way. The material was nice and it was such a disappointment because the phD smart wool insulated sweater fit so well!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm, Soft & ThinVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mom in CO from Colorado on Thursday, January 29, 2015I really love this jacket. It is fashionable and warm, but also lightweight. The inside is war, soft merino wool, and the outside is wind-proof and water-proof nylon - a great combination for warmth without being bulky or heavy. I got the purple color, which turned out to be much prettier than I expected - I would have called it dark raspberry. I still have a bulky down coat for the really cold Colorado days, but this is my everyday goto winter jacket.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great deal.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Amy from Tennessee on Friday, December 26, 2014Very warm and lightweight. Nice long sleeves, and the smartwool lining is super soft. Runs just a little small but it has some stretch. It looks really sharp as well...love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight, warm and very nice looking jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Charlotte, NC on Monday, June 9, 2014While on vacation I lent my SmartWool jacket to my wife, and she really loved it, so I looked on STP and found this one for her. Even though it's summer, we still purchased it and all I can say is it looks great and she will wear this jacket for many years to come. I haven't been disappointed in any smart wool products I've purchased yet. I feel they are a great company making great outdoor products.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Fits is bigReviewed by mora from california on Wednesday, April 30, 2014This jacket from Smartwool is definitely sized on the large side. I usually wear a S in Smartwool, ordered the S and it is way to big. Does not fit tight as in the picture, sleeves are longer than need, but more troublesome, they are very wide. I am 5'6 and 120 lbs. I wish I could exchange it for the XS but since it is not available, I will alter it, which is easy at the waist due to the side panels. So make sure to order a size down if you want to closer fit.
Otherwise it is a nice jacket for northern california. Fabric is NOT shiny as it was on the 2012 model which my daughter own. It is a much nicer matte finish.
