HOWEVER, after about 60 miles both socks had holes in the big toes. I do wear other socks when I run and have not had issues with the others. Disappointed. I did like the fit and warmth. They are thin but not my thinnest running socks.

And, yes, my nails are clipped short. I have $2 socks that I've worn more than 100 times and still don't have holes. Not sure what the issue is with these.

These are very thin, as you might expect with an UL sock. I'm very pleased with these, and will never have any new socks other than SmartWool or DarnTough. Quality is comparable, and both fit me well. True to size, although at the upper/lower end of the range you can get away with either size. -
