I needed these for work on a rocky, rugged island. It is critical that I am able to be sure-footed since I am walking around rocky terrain at night. These shoes are exactly what I need.

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Good if you like plastic!

The concept for this shoe is great. Make a shoe out of recycled products for the Greenies out there. Unfortunately recycled stuff usually is plastic related. So the shoe just felt cheap and very uncomfortable. I normally run in asics and this shoe felt nothing like an asics shoe. It is a cool concept and color is pretty cool and wild. But for a functional shoe I just don't think Timberland is quite there yet.

I followed the advice and ordered larger but my toes still sit too tight. When running long distance an improper fit can have severe consequences so I'll have to return these.

Too small by at least a half size and toe box was way too narrow. Was uncomfortable to the point where I can't judge the rest of the shoe's qualities.

About Timberland

The Timberland footwear brand was officially launched in 1973, more than two decades after founder Nathan Swartz bought an interest in an established shoe company. Eight years earlier, the Swartz family had introduced injection-molding technology to the footwear industry. Today, this revolutionary manufacturing process is still being used to fuse the soles and uppers of Timberland boots without stitching, a process that allows for truly waterproof boots. Over the years, Timberland shoes and boots have continued to advance, incorporating modern features like Active Comfort Technology to provide a balance of cushioning, support and climate control. In 2008, Timberland also became the first footwear company to commercialize the use of rubber from recycled tires.
