When it arrived I wondered about the fraying in the lower corners. I could not decide if it was intended or a defect. Now, when I enlarge the photo, I can clearly see that the fraying was intentional. I thought I was going to use this as a purse, but it definitely looks like a tote bag, which is how it is advertised. It does not feel a bit like "buttery faux leather."

It's sort of floppy, not your stands-up-by-itself type bag but holds a lot of stuff and looks cool. It is faux leather, but pretty decent/not too plastic-looking (I am talking about the black one).
