  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Time will tell
Reviewed by Anonymous from Madison, WI on Tuesday, January 21, 2014
I've been intrigued by the construction method of an all injection molded snowshoe. I did a fair amount of research on the TSL Escape 227 and decided to give these a try. So far so good but I remain a little skeptical of the durability of polymers at lower temps. The binding have great deal of adjustability and once set are very easy to use. Two things I have observed is that the white/woodgrain version I purchased has discoloration/aging on the resilient plastic binding straps right out of the package and a rear binding lock that can accidentally engage. The rear binding lock is intended to keep the binding from pivoting when not in use. If accidentally engaged in use, it can make walking a chore. As for performance on snow, it has been all thumbs up for me.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Beginner - Intermediate Snoeshoes!
Reviewed by amuzed2pieces from Seattle WA on Sunday, August 26, 2012
Great snowshoe, very light and smooth. Loved the hill climb platform, it was very easy to use to just raise and lower with just a flick of the pole. I am very heavy 275 lbs and these did well in most snow, however, if I was in the Rockies with lighter snow I would go up in length. Perfect for west or east coast snow, which is heavier.
