The shine is gorgeous, and I LOVE that you can put a straw through the handle. However...a "standard" length straw does not work well. Get the LONGER straws, but make sure they are about the same width as a standard, and voila - perfection! I hand wash these for longevity, but I'm pretty sure they would be OK in the dishwasher. I will be back for more!

I thought these were spoons and straws all in one. It is straw HOLDER. You have to add your own straw. i tested it with a standard bendy straw, which fit up to the part where the straw bends. It's a decent little spoon. Very sturdy and long. If I don't use it for rootbeer floats, it will still be a great long spoon for anything else requiring an iced tea length spoon.
