2.0 out of 5 stars. Meh...Reviewed by Anonymous from desert southwest on Sunday, January 24, 2016I paid $20 for this crate, and it's not worth a penny more. The only thing I like about it are the bars that fit over the crate body above and below the wire doors. The clamps are difficult and I suspect they'll break soon; the two halves of the crate body don't fit solidly together, and I agree with another reviewer: this isn't what I consider a medium size.
I'm keeping it because of the price. Also, there are pre-drilled holes for screwing the halves together, once the clamps break. AKC quality isn't good: I bought an AKC pet bed, and it developed holes way too soon. Now this crate. I will be avoiding this brand in the future. -

One of the tabs that is supposed to secure the top of the kennel to the bottom does not work. It won't clamp all the way down. This seems to warp the whole kennel enough to cause other problems, like with the door. The door does not shut properly because the bottom lip of the kennel is bent. The bottom lip of the kennel might be bent because of the strain being caused due to the poor fit of the latch I mentioned before.
Overall it seems like the pieces of the kennel just don't fit together properly.
I will still use the kennel and just force the door shut. -

He was lost in it and hated it. I saw this kennel on STP and ordered it because it's the same style as the larger one he used with his mom and litter mates. As soon s I put the soft pad in it he hopped right in and stayed there to play with his teether. He loves it. He doesn't protest when I put him in it before I leave the house, and uses it as a comfy play space when I'm home.
Note - the ACK small liner is the one that fits this medium crate. The medium liner fits the large crate! -

This kennel has 2 ways to attach the top to the base...1) the plastic fasteners snap the 2 pieces together really quick and easy and/or 2) nuts and bolts. I find the plastic snap fasteners work great...but if I was using this for air travel or picking it up by the handle a lot, I would use the nuts & bolts to make it more securely connected.
