But as is often the case, for me the 10 was overall too tight, and the 12 was baggy in the waist. If you have a narrow waist relative to your hips, these may not work for you. But if you have a bit extra in the waist, these may be the perfect solution. They are a little stiff (plastic), but not horribly so. Indeed, if they had fit me in the waist, I'd have held on to them.

I almost didn't get these as I wanted the brown (which was out in my size) and so I also ordered the Rabat pants at the same time (in the brown). I'm so glad I ordered these as well. These fit much better than the Rabat version - mostly because of the length - these have longer legs (34-35 inch inseam), but also because they are incredibly comfortable and also very slimming. The quality is several steps above normal (as expected of this brand) from the zippered side pocket to the double snap closures.
