They are very, very nice leather boots with rubber soles and loads of tread. Only one strap and buckle per boot, not gaudy just classy. Double zipper on each boot is great, easy on and easy off . The mahogany color is great. The heel is just the right height for easy walking and comfort. The mid calf style is very nice also. Did I mention I love these boots ?? I ordered 1/2 size up from my regular size to have room for heavy socks, and that worked out great.

The heel is just the right height for comfortable walking and with JUST ONE strap and buckle for accent they are not gaudy, just classy. The mahogany color is perfect, love it . With zippers on both sides, it makes for an easy on / easy off feature and does add to the unique look of the boot. The mid calf height of the boot is also very nice. The rubber sole has a lot of tread and looks to be very stable. I have not worn these out in wet weather yet, but the construction of the boot looks to be excellent. These are plainly and simply a great boot !!!

I have a bunion on one foot and these boots rubbed it significantly. I also has the same issue as another reviewer in that the ankle bend was stiff. I could have worked with that issue if the foot with the bunion had been comfortable, but it wasn't. I have returned them.
