I cross country skied in it with 20degree weather with a thin wool base and it was perfect. The hood kept me warm but not so warm that I felt sweaty. Thumb hole loops are good size, they don't tug. Also, it comes down far enough below the waist that I can bend over and not expose the muffin top! I love this jacket and wore it for 5 days straight after getting it.

I love the extra pockets that are on the inside of the jacket they are very handy. I have received many compliments on this jacket and enjoy wearing it. The only thing I have found is the hood doesn't really cover your entire head so when it is raining it doesn't keep you completely dry.
