Runs a little small so I had to order a large pair. These are classy and cool so they'll be in my everyday jacket.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Tight fitting and not very warm

These gloves are not exactly what I thought I was ordering. I thought they would be thinner and would fit a little loose, but they turned out to be thick like a ski glove and they fit really tight. My hands are not particularly large, I usually range between a Large and XL. I ordered the XL and these gloves would not fit a man with large hands. They are not partcularly warm either. They are not listed as water proof so I was surprised they kept my hands dry when building a snow cave in melting snow for about an hour. They have stretched out a little and might prove to be useful on occaision, but they definetly are not comfortable enough or warm enough to be my go-to gloves.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm and dry - whats not to like!

I wore these during the last southern hemisphere winter. Even in the wet conditions we experience here in the snow, these stayed dry and warm thanks to the Gore-tex membrane and the fleece lining. You will want to treat the leather component though to keep it water repellent. As a skier I had no problems with gripping the poles, the glove proving comfortable and reasonably rugged with a nice reinforced palm. The cuff length was perfect for me, but a friend who is a snowboarder didn't like it. For me, a great glove for everyday use in the snow and cold conditions.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice gloves, a little stiff

I bought these actually not for skiing or boarding but for cold weather dog walking, driving, etc. They are nicely made and seem like good quality leather. They are however pretty stiff so it is hard to get the fingers really bent. I think this is because the insulation on the palm side is very thick. This could make it hard to grip poles but if you are a boarder it is probably OK. The one thing that is kind of odd is that the thumb is sewn on such that if your hand is open the glove pulls way away from your palm. It is as if they didn't make the thumb section long enough. This probably contributes to the stiffness of the feel. Don't expect a ton of dexterity but for the price it is a good pair of gloves.
