I was looking for a gore-tex mitt with goose down, and the choices appear to be few and far between. This Gordini mitt has some excellent features in addition to those above-- a zip pocket for a heat packet, inner and outer wrist cinches, nose wipe thumb, and a plush lining. My only complaint is the loose fit for the fingers, which I think might have been intended. It actually gives you greater finger articulation, but you don't get a tight secure feeling. That being said, they're still very warm, so your fingers will not get cold. Even though the fit could be better, I would still recommend them because the features for the price is unrivaled. P.S.-- the measurement to determine size is to be completed by circling the front and back of the hand at the lowest knuckle joints, not including the thumb knuckle. I measured 8" and got a medium, as I was worried about a small being too tight, and the medium turned out to be a solid fit. I'd be interested in trying a small, but not at the price/hassle of ordering a second pair to try and possibly return.
