I'm 5'10 and 185', and the medium fits a little loose, and comes down long enough to tuck in well, or wear untucked.
The weight is nice for layering, but not super thick.
The wool is not quite as smooth next to the skin as some other merino shirts, but it works well over a t-shirt.
