It hasn't been really cold yet, but they were very warm on the days I was breaking them in. snug fit, but not tight. Much easier to wear than the other big clunky options. Planning on using these for snow shoeing and the firm foot bed support should make tge hiked more enjoyable.

It hasn't been cold enough to wear them outdoors, but the day I got them I tromped around the house for hours wearing them and they were as comfortable as slippers only with more structure to hold your foot in place. I hated to take them off. They are attractive, don't look like clompy hiking boots, and I'm so looking forward to wearing this winter. The only tiny thing I'm not crazy about is that the lining is white and if you don't get the tongue absolute straight, you can see the white. Still, I love the boots!

I have chronic pain in my feet and legs and have a terrible time finding shoes to wear.
Thank Goodness for Sierra Trading Post (STP) they are very gracious and great about returns and exchanges. I get 90 % of my shoes from STP now for about the past 6 years. Massive selection of shoes and like other items available on line as well i.e., Melange comforters are awesome! -

The plush lining hugs your feet like new slippers, and they lace up high and snug which is perfect for deep snow. I normally wear size 8, but ordered 7 1/2 based on feedback and they fit perfectly.
