5.0 out of 5 stars. Ultralight Mountaineering

Great boot, very lightweight, very stable, somewhat stiff. Fits my narrowish foot quite well but I wouldn't want less volume. Used for a couple of hikes for break in will be primarily used for light mountaineering maybe even elk hunting.

The color is interesting, reminds me of the first Air Jordan's.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. some reservations
Reviewed by bill from folsom on Friday, August 5, 2016
i am a size 12 in Asolo. i got these in size 13 and they fit perfectly with one thick sock. my guess is that these are one size smaller than marked. they work well with a combination crampon - nice heel groove, front has to be strap on. (camp stalker).
mine were marked made in Italy. they are light for a mountaineering boot. reservations - i might be wrong, but i think the top four shoelace anchors are made of plastic.
if you read the (only) review for these boots on amazon, the soles separated in the front after a 3 hour hike (they even have a picture). the reviewer gave it one star. they have no leather - i think they are entirely synthetic. Lowa stopped selling these - and they have disappeared from their website. summary - nice boots if they do not fall apart on me.

A very well made boot, need to order size of size and 1/2 larger to get correct fit. I had to return them because of the flat heel, which is my fault and I should have looked at the pictures more carefully. Joe

these boots are sick!! the comfort & colorway/ways are awesome! i have these & the royal blue pair too. only drawback is they run very small!! if you are lucky enough to get a pair, make sure you get about a size bigger than your normal size!!! i wear a 11.5 & brought an 11.5 in these & my feet pleaded with me to get a bigger size, i couldnt wear them for more than a couple hours before either having to take them off or untying the laces to relieve my feet. i was lucky to be able to exchange them for a 12.5 & they fit perfectly without any issues!
