They are a little wide but not enough to be an issue. They worked great in the thorny cactus done here in South Texas. Luckily I haven't had a chance to test them on a rattlesnake.

I tried to register this boot with Rocky and never got a confirmation email. I've emailed them a few times and have no response. I will try calling now. But other than Rocky Customer Service I have no complaints with Sierra! Great store and awesome customer service.

I purchased these boots after a close encounter with a rattlesnake to replace a pair of snake boots that had become to small. I would not hesitate to purchase these boots.
