Good everyday boot. I was surprised of the high arch. Good quality & looks. Worked well in the snow on walks. Made in the USA is a must for me.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. HUGE!!!!

I've never seen a size discrepancy like this. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10. Ordered these in 9.5, but they fit more like a 12 or 13! Seems like a decent boot so I'm giving it 3 stars, but I couldn't even begin to tell you what size to order. I know Sierra Trading Post will give me a refund, none the less I hate returning items because STP is a good company and it hurts them financially. Not only that, but in the big picture it drives prices up for everyone. It would help greatly if shoe companies adhered to some kind of standardized measurement in sizing. From now on I'll be buying footwear in store only unless it's something I've previously owned and know how it's going to fit.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. 21 Years in the Military and these are better than any boots ever bought or issued to me......PERIOD

I would give these 10 stars if it were possible. Im ordering two more pair right now. I really hate that the previous guys were less than truthful about their review of these boots. I am a 5 time combat vet and having good boots are important. The issued equivalent are clunky, heavy and the fit is a bit sloppy.

These fit to standard military sizes which run a little over to accommodate different socks for different applications. So if youre an army guy order your standard size. Civilians go a half size down.

Hold off a little while so I can buy a couple more pair in my size. I plan on wearing these until I retire.

I bought these to use as inexpensive hiking/hunting/work boots. The first problem is that they run HUGE. I wear an 11 in most shoes and boots. After returning two pair, I settled on a 10, though a 9.5 would probably be a better fit.

Second, the waterproof is only so-so. I don't know if I got some defective Gore tex, but after a morning working in wet grass, my socks are noticeably wet. Not soaked, but quite damp.

Third, desert tan suede was a bad choice on my part. After a single use in muddy wet conditions they're stained. Not a problem for work boots, but I'm not going to get away with wearing them anywhere else.

They are huge! They are not the size that it say.

About Rocky

Nelsonville, Ohio, proved to be the perfect "proving ground" for Rocky boots. Back in 1932 when Rocky opened for business, Ohio's wet river bottoms, rugged hills and dense thickets of brush attracted outdoorsmen and hunters who needed boots that were as tough as the terrain. Rocky boots took the challenge and created a legacy of quality and durability that ultimately became the hallmarks of the Rocky name. Incorporating fabric technologies like waterproof Gore Tex® and durable, lightweight Cordura®, Rocky built superior comfort and durability into every pair of boots they made. Whether you spend your day pounding the pavement or tackling rough terrain, Rocky products hunt, hike and work with the best of them.
