The fleece is very soft and thick, but not too warm to wear indoors. The zippers are metal, so they are visible against the fleece, but should be more durable than plastic zippers through many machine washings. Although everything is nice and well finished, this is definitely a weekend vest. But a very nice one for years to come, and at this price, an unbeatable bargain.

I usually wear a small or medium but because of some comments in other reviews, I ordered a large and it fits perfectly. The colors are pistachio- and dark lavender-sherbert delicious and the fleece is soft as snow. It falls just below the waist and is cozily comfy. Pockets are generously sized and conveniently located. Wearing it makes you look invitingly huggable, even if you melt in that special someone's arms.

Dense fleece keeps torso amazingly warm . . . only drawback is the fleece tends to pick up lint easily. Probably won't be a problem for 'urban' living, but the ranch seems to produce a lot of little "bits" of stray materials.
