4.0 out of 5 stars. should have read the reviewsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mike from Texas on Thursday, June 18, 2015These are great shoes, but, I should have read past reviews. They run 1/2 size too small. Not Sierra's fault, the manufacture"s. And mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Wonderful!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Reggie from Maine on Thursday, June 18, 2015The Salomon Speedcross 3 Trail Running Shoes for Men are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in my adult life. Even as a small child I needed to wear custom shoes and as an adult, custom orthotics, flat feet. But with this pair of shoes, I need nothing extra in them and they fit perfectly, right out of the box! I can be on my feet for hours in them. I use them for everyday living, not as a running shoe. Just love the fun colors too.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Snug but comfortable.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Always Oudoors from Northeast PA on Wednesday, May 20, 2015I bought them to wear casually. I wore them to work the day after I got them and at the end of the day I realized I never once had any discomfort that sometimes comes with breaking in a brand new shoe. They were snug going on but I think they are designed to be so....They didn't need broken in...I truly think you could take these out of the box and take off running in them without worrying about them being new.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Cant Go Wrong With SalomonVerified Buyer Reviewed by NM Desert Rat from Las Cruces, NM on Tuesday, May 12, 2015This is my third pair of Salomon trail shoes in the last year. Fit is excellent, very durable, easy to put on with the lace system and they look awesome. I get comments all the time about these shoes especially where did you get them? You simply don't go to the local Rack Room Shoes and purchase these.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Loved these shoes so much, bought a second pair!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Aaron B from New Hampshire on Monday, December 1, 2014These shoes are great for anything from October through May, and great for most things the rest of the time. I use these for trail running in colder temps, some light duty day hikes, and general around town errands. They're quite warm, and generally are too hot for summer weather trail running or hiking, but that also means i can pop them on to take my dog out in the winter time and my toes don't get cold.
The sole is very flexible and soft, which is great for running, but you can feel sharp rocks sometimes on hiking descents. Just pick your footing wisely and you'll be fine. Also, i'm a card-carrying member of the 'I love the Salomon closure system' club. I'm up to 3 pairs of Salomons. Just can't argue with how quickly you can lace these up or remove them. Plus, now that you can buy replacement closure systems on the Salomon website, you don't even have to junk the shoes if they break.
Regarding fitment, I hesitate to say they run small.. I would call them running 'snug'. Lots of Salomons are flagged as 'runs a half size small' on STP and these are kinda like that, but not quite as much. I previously wore a size 12's in these (and in almost everything) but this time STP had a 12.5 which I bought an they're even more comfortable. I now wish the other two pairs of Salomon's i have were 12.5's. Oh well.. The 12's are fine, just more.. snug.
And lastly, a 'no duh' warning.. you will massacre these soles if you run on the street with them. It's not what they're designed for, and that's evident by how quickly they will wear on pavement. I only ran a 5k in these when i was between road running shoes and it must have taken 1/8" off the sole. -

4.0 out of 5 stars. Yeah!Verified Buyer Reviewed by AT from Duluth, MN on Monday, July 21, 2014Pros:
Looks - The majority of trail running shoes are covered in retina-burning neon colors, these however are nice and easy on the eyes.
Comfort - They come with equipped with some orthopedic inserts and now that I'm 30 I care about things like that.
Water resistance - I don't advise submerging your entire foot into a river, but small puddle splashing here and there isn't a bother.
Traction - Mountain lion grip!
Cons:
Fit - I had to reorder a half size bigger, now they're perfect.
Breathability - I've had better, but I've definitely had worse.
