It was a smart decision and this is one of the best helmets out there for women. It’s not lighter than some of the others, but very comfortable. I haven’t tried out the vents yet, but I’m sure they work great. -

My wife's measured head size is right in the middle of the size range of the helmet ordered, but I later learned that Smith helmets fit better on round heads. My wife's has an oval head shape (long head front to back), so this helmet was far too tight on her forehead and loose on the sides of her head. If you have a more round head this would be a great helmet for you.
