5.0 out of 5 stars. At last, no more cold feet !

I wanted a warm slipper for home and around the campsite on colder nights. These look so good I bet I could wear them as shoes and no one would know, except you after reading this review. I haven't tried them in the rain, as they were advertised as being waterproof leather. Buy these if you want warmth. I purchased the darker pair to show less dirt. Sierra Trading Post is awesome !

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Warm, cozy, comfortable

I now have 3 pairs of Sorel Shoes, The Naknek I bought for slippers and they ended up becoming my do anything shoe/slippers. They seemed to run about 1/2 size bigger after I have worn them awhile...My mom and cousin now have a pair, and I always get comments on them. They are warm, have a great tread and I really love them...

I bought this shoe to keep my feet warm when walking back and firth from my dorm room to class in the UP of Michigan. I took others' advice and ordered an 8.5 though I wear an 8. They were still tight to get into at first but I have no problems slipping my feet in. However, they are still an 8.5 inside so I wish I'd tried an 8 because they're more roomy than I like. I wear thick wool socks with them and they don't feel as big now. They're a nice comfortable shoe that I ear inside and out. I haven't tried them in snow because I don't want to get them dirty :)

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Best Slipper Ever!

These are the best slippers I've ever had. They are comfortable, don't stretch or get misshapen-- I can't say enough about them. I can walk outside with them to grab some wood for the fire or wearing long pants, can even run over to the neighbors or the corner store. The soles are very sturdy. Only downside is that they no longler carry my size (8.5) because I wanted to buy another pair.

I think these are great but I actually use them more as comfortable shoes than slippers. After wearing them for a couple of months I would suggest buying at your true size and possibly a 1/2 size smaller. With most shoes I wear a 9.5. I got these in 9.5 and the lining and shoe in general has ended up being a tiny bit big but not enough to be uncomfortable. When I first tried them on out of the box I was concerned they may be just a bit too small since one of my toes seemed to be hitting the shoe weirdly, but that went away within a few wearings. Sorel sole inserts are really thick and comfortable and I don't see them wearing out anytime soon. I don't find them comfortable without socks so I wouldn't consider them my house slippers. I actually wear them everywhere during this cold winter. Great tread, keep your toes warm in the snow and ice. They definitely don't run narrow, might even consider them wide. I kind of wish the tan/brown ones didn't have an orange sole, that's the only thing I could say is a major con.

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Not the right slipper for me.

I could not get the slipper on! There is simply not enough stretch in the opening to put them on. I think the word "slippers" does NOT apply to these slippers! I had to return them.

About Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it's not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1962 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel's advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today's active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.
