4.0 out of 5 stars. There's a regular and a longReviewed by pj from Nevada on Tuesday, September 9, 2014The long is shown in the picture, watch the video to see the length of the regular. They are short but not too short. They do run small, I ware a 4 and had to get these in a 6.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Too small and too shortVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Iowa on Wednesday, May 14, 2014After reading many reviews, I ordered a size larger than what I usually wear in TNF shorts - still way too small. Other reviewers also mentioned that they were a bit on the short side - that is an understatement. I have slender legs, but still, there is NO WAY I would wear these. Sad to return them. :-(

1.0 out of 5 stars. Shorts are way too small and much shorter than pictureVerified Buyer Reviewed by Suzanne from South Florida on Wednesday, May 14, 2014I have other Northface pants in a size 8 that fit perfectly. I can't even get these shorts over my thighs. They are also much shorter than they appear in the photo. I am a little upset that I have to pay return shipping on them as they are definitely not sized right and the photo is much different than they are.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Ridiculously small shorts!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Elizabeth from Bloomington, MN on Wednesday, April 16, 2014These shorts are teeny weeny. Both in the waist and the length. Don't let the picture fool you--the length from the crotch to the hem is 4 inches. The picture makes it look more like 8. Also, The waist runs way small. I am 5'9" and 145 lbs. I ordered a 6 originally, and had to exchange them for an 8 (which is still very tight on me). I have another pair of North Face Shorts and I wear a size 4 in those, no joke. There is no stretch to these shorts. Other than the ridiculous sizing, I think they're okay shorts.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice quality shorts BUT....Reviewed by Ranch Girl from Southern California on Monday, March 31, 2014These shorts are very nice in style and quality, but mine are only a 3" inseam, maybe 2". Fine if you have young legs, but at at 47, a little more length as described would have been better for me. That said, my husband loved them on me, plus I ordered a size larger than my normal so the shorts sit a little lower on my hips giving me a little more length. I am keeping them since my husband gave them a thumbs up.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Daisy dukesReviewed by Bea A from Colorado on Saturday, January 18, 2014Maybe it's my bad for not reading all the specs but these were waaaay too short. I am 5'7 and 130lbs and they were a good 4" from the middle of my thigh. The fit through hips and butt were fine. This may be a personal preference for some but I wish I had known before I purchased. Overall, the fabric was nice quality and the color was pretty but Daisy Ds aren't my style...

5.0 out of 5 stars. Really nice shorts!Reviewed by GSDgirl from SF Bay Area, CA on Wednesday, November 13, 2013For me, The North Face clothes typically run a full size too small, and these shorts are no exception. Knowing this, I ordered a size up from what I'd normally wear in other brands of pants and shorts, and they fit perfectly. If you're between sizes, I'd highly recommend going up a size, and maybe even if you're not, unless you have a very small waist, which is where TNF tends to be tight on me.
I actually have these in 3 colors because I like them so much. The length is good - not too short, not too long, the rise is mid on me (I'm short waisted, so your mileage may vary), the fabric is substantial, not flimsy, and there's enough give for comfort without them getting all stretched out and baggy by the end of the day. I love all the pockets too. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. flattering, true to sizeReviewed by runner who values comfortable shoes from Portland, OR on Tuesday, September 10, 2013These are cute shorts. I bought both the long and the regular, and both are flattering. The "long" isn't really that long - maybe about 6" inseam. The regular might seem a little short to some, but I think it's okay, about a 5" inseam. True to size - I'm 5'5" 125 and my normal size 6 is just right. They're styled like quick-dry hiking shorts, but the fabric is actually thick cotton with a little stretch. Comfy.
