5.0 out of 5 stars. Carhartt Rancher Sandstone CoatVerified Buyer Reviewed by WallyB from South Carolina on Friday, March 20, 2015Exceptionall heavyweight coat suitable for cold weather outdoor work or play. The only drawback is that it cost me extra money for additional shipping because the size ran VERY, VERY LARGE. While I wear an XXL in every other brand of clothing, this one swallowed me whole. If an XL is still too large it will cost me even more for shipping to get a Large. I intend to file a complaint with Sierra Trading about the extra costs involved.

5.0 out of 5 stars. As promisedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Paperswimmer from VA on Thursday, February 5, 2015this coat is what it is supposed to be, a nice warm working man's coat (or playing outside man's coat). Based on my husband's experience I'd say it runs large. He wears XL in shirts (6'3" 200 or so lbs.) but we had to return the XL for a L (easy to do thanks, STP).

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Coat!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Warm and Happy from Tennessee on Sunday, January 11, 2015As with all Carhartt I have owned this coat is tough and practical. Very warm without being too bulky. I am 6' 1" and was concerned about the fit, especially in the sleeves, but the fit (large) is true to size.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice coat.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Don from Western NM on Thursday, January 1, 2015Coat is nice and long. Zipper plus snaps down the front make it nice and warm. There are snaps under the collar for a hood, but my coat did not come with one.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good CoatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nav115 from Texas on Wednesday, December 31, 2014This seems fine for Texas cold, uncertain about other areas, but works for me. I really like the length of the coat. There are interior and exterior pockets that come in hand of all the stuff I seem to carry. Large size fit well, 6'1" 200.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Loved this coat - wish they had my size!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Washington, DC on Sunday, June 1, 2014I wear XXLT in almost everything, but the XXLT in this was huge. I'm 6'4" 250lb, and this coat was floating on me. I could gain 50lb and this coat would be about right. Wish they had LT or XLT for me to try, but it seems like they're out - bummer, because everything but the size is great. Only thing I might change is to put some sort of lining on the collar so you could turn it up and keep the back of your neck warm.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect fit, great priceReviewed by WoolGrower from Northern Maine on Thursday, March 27, 2014My long-armed, broad-shouldered husband is a beef farmer, and in his line of work, outer wear does not last long! Carhartt is one of the few brands tough enough to remain intact and functional for more than a year. Carhartt is also expensive, so whenever we find a size to fit in the garments we need on Sierra Trading Post, we order. Items usually arrive quickly, and only occasionally do we have to return anything.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Just as expected from Carhartt & Sierra!Reviewed by halfgun from Michigan U.P. on Friday, February 21, 2014Perfect coat for us tall guys. I'm 6'-5" / 250#. I ordered the Tall XL. Fits perfectly for a 3/4 length coat. The two way front zipper is what clinched the sale for me - a must for being in the truck on the way to town. Plenty of pockets, as advertised. Minor gripes: the "Hand Warmer" portion of the side pockets are just a tad tight for easing my hands into; the "rib knit" portion of the sleeves are a little tight around the wrist. (I've found this to be true of almost all my Carhartts w/ this feature.) Good weight lining, not as heavy as the Arctic lining, but very substantial. Also has snaps under the collar for the ubiquitous Carhartt hood. Speaking of snaps - I personally like the snap Storm Flap, I'm tired of the "grip Strip" stuff that grabs anything within two feet, and snags it! Dollar for dollar, this may be one of the best products I have ever purchased!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent CoatReviewed by Anonymous from Wisconsin on Thursday, February 20, 2014I was looking for a new Carhartt coat as my 20 yr old Carhartt was showing its wear. My previous coat was the Arctic version in Carhartt brown. The one knock I always had with my first Carhartt was how long it took to break in. I was looking for something that had a broken in look and feel. This jacket fits the bill. Although it is still somewhat stiff, it isn't as stiff as my previous coat when it was new.
I am 6'2'' and weigh 200lbs and the size LT fits perfectly. My old coat was a size XL which I needed for the sleeve length but was too big through the chest.
This coat also doesn't have as much insulation as my old coat but that is alright with me as I found my old coat to be too warm when somewhat active in our Northern Wisconsin winters. If I had a job working outside all day I wouuld recomend the Arctic version Carhartt coat before this one however.
Sierra Trading prices can't be beat and the quality of this coat is excellent. Can't even tell it is a 2nd.
