I normally carry pocket knife clipped in my back pocket. Its not heavy, but the edge of the pocket started ripping due to the weight of the pocket knife.
Also I put few things in side pocket...like extra phone batteries and house keys...not heavy staff.
One day I found the inside of the side pocket ripped and made a big hole. Then I lost my extra phone batteries. Glad I didn't lose house key.
The material of the pants is not weak. But, sewing is not strong enough. -

Why couldn't the legs have been cut a little narrower like jeans? If so, they would have been perfect. You can't really make it narrower yourself because of the zippers.

Gave pants to 13 yr old son. He's 5'9" with 38" waist. They fit him great on the waist and legs, but they are very baggy and go over his heels. The fabric is lightweight. Lots of pockets. Waist has belt loops all the way around.
