The first pair I'm still wearing, I just couldn't pass up the price on the comfort trek. They fit well and as the name implies, they're very comfortable. I've already recommended to friends and coworkers to visit Sierra Trading post for outstanding pricing on quality products.

His older boots that cost over $200. were worn out. I'd bought cheaper replacements that were not the same quality; however after reading reviews for these Irish Setters, I thought I'd try them. He's thrilled with their quality, strength, and overall excellence. I wish they were not made in China and that someone would come up with a good old-fashioned boot that could be resoled by an old-fashioned shoemaker! Barring that, I'm completely satisfied and highly recommend these fine boots. (I wish they came in women's sizes because my old Doc Martins are wearing out.)

Inner sole is very comfortable with some arch support but nothing major which is fine for me. The outer sole is stitched on, something I don't find on boot very often as gluing seems to be the norm these days. These boots having only leather inside, no lining or padding, though there is padding around the top edge. I ordered my regular size and the fit is correct. I do feel the heal area on my feet which could produce a hot spot-blister but I'm breaking these in gradually and should not be an on-going issue. Plenty of room in the toe box. Over all I really like the boots and once broken in will be a joy to wear. Very glad I got them.
