4.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Rain JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Arkansas on Monday, May 15, 2017I have only had the jacket a short time and out in the rain once, but it worked great shedding water. I like the velcro strips in addition to the front zipper. It allows me to hang it on a hanger and just fasten the top velcro to keep it from falling off. I hope the Gortex fabric allows it to last a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars. no rain since purchase!Verified Buyer Reviewed by alex from virginia on Tuesday, April 11, 2017nicely constructed jacket, although i was surprised to see that it has seams on the very top of the shoulder as opposed to farther down on the front and back sides. but even with that i'm counting on the gore-tex guarantee that the jacket will be totally waterproof. 5'10", 160 lbs. and the medium leaves ample room for layers underneath. not a trendy, slim urban jacket by any means.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Marmot fleece doesn't zip in!Reviewed by Piranha2 from New England on Sunday, April 2, 2017Want to give 5 stars but can't due to my Marmot Windstopper fleece not being able to zip in. [...] LL Bean fleece zips in though. 5'7" 175 lbs and the medium fits great in sleeves, torso length just below the waist and room for a good weight fleece and base layer. Last 3-layer Gore-Tex Marmot jacket lasted 20 years.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great rain gearVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from San Diego on Monday, January 30, 2017The jacket is definitely water tight and breathable as you would expect it to be with gore Tex. The fit is more along the lines of comfort fit, which gives you the option of putting an extra layer underneath. I'm a 43" chest, ordered the medium, and the fit was perfect for me. Really happy so far with the jacket, great value, seems well constructed so far, adjustable where you need it most.

4.0 out of 5 stars. DurabilityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Gloucester on Saturday, January 28, 2017Looks good, fits great, sheds water. Ask me again in 5 years. Marmot products seems to have a short life span. At Sierra's discount, the cost benefit ratio is good.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very Solid JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Portland on Wednesday, January 25, 2017The jacket sizes a bit big. I am typically a large, but got both sizes, medium turned out to be the best fit. (6' 2'' 180lbs) Still room for a mid layer. GoreTex is always a good choice. PitZips serve their purpose in the fabric. Great coat for fall and winter. Marmot minimalist would be better suited for heavy rains in the summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars. my son liked itVerified Buyer Reviewed by BayAreaShopper from CA on Saturday, December 31, 2016What can I say? He said it was perfect. He is a regular medium and I got this in large to go over another thick layer for a New England winter. The pockets are actually usable, as opposed to the not useable ones (unless in full pack) so currently beloved by most makers of Gore-Tex jackets. It is pretty light. It seems well made. At STP price a good deal all round.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Thank you!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Wyatt from California on Tuesday, December 27, 2016Finally, I can say I have a really waterproof and dependable rain jacket.
With the Marmot Cornice two layer gore-tex I went on a short 5 mile hike in the rain, was impressed on how well I stayed dry! With pit zips opened was a cool as The other side of the pillow.
Room for layers, and able to add a fleece liner makes a great combo on cold evening hikes. Highly recommended.
