The sole is well grooved, the Velcro straps quite friendly; but those who like this to be super lightweight for walking on sandy beaches, this might be a bit on the heavier side; but its slight weight would not be a deal breaker. it is a good brand, after all.

We are required to wear close toed shoes while working both inside and outside with young children. Moving from sandbox to the classroom, I have found these shoes allow for both comfort and safety. Easy to get on and off if I need to dump out any sand, able to splash in puddles, stomp through muddy areas, and still look good for admin meetings.

It is not up to Merrell standards at all. There is no arch support and no nice Merrell footbed. It was a terrible purchase to say the least.

I could not wait to get a shoe by Merrell that is perfect for the feet and orthopedically sound for walking. These would not be the shoes. The soles have no arch support or awesome footbed. The straps are uncomfortable in the back and the strap over your arch is made for a giant. If the top of my foot was that big I'd have to do more than get good shoes for my feet. Yet they claim to have a cushiony Unifly midsole. They were shoddily made and not Merrell grade at all....I couldn't wait to get them and it was such a let down.

Unlike the previous review my back strap is adjustable, although for my heel I wish it was just a hair higher. Merrells usually run a tad small for me so I sized up a 1/2 size which is perfect. They feel quite comfortable but I am wearing them with compression socks because of a foot issue.
