Been wearing Merrell's for years and I got exactly what I expected. As with previous pairs, I bought them a 1/2 size larger.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. A good shoe for me

These shoes are a great fit and provide essential support for my feet.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Merrell is the Best!

I've bought these shoes multiple times now. I bought them for my husband and my father as well. They swear by these. The only reason why I continue buying these in multiples is because they both use these for work, and not for hiking. These are very comfortable. My father used to complain about his feet all the time but since he started wearing Merrell's shoes, the complaints stopped. Now, every quarter or so he asks when I will buy him another pair :) My guys' feet don't sweat in these, there's enough ventilation going on that they have no issues even if worn all day long in working conditions. I continue to come back to Sierra for all types of Merrell shoes and boots. Definitely my favorites!

These aren't quite the top of the line Merrell but they will do, we'll see how long they hold up
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable shoes, tore quickly

Hiked about 50 miles in these shoes in the first week through National Parks in Utah and Arizona. They were very comfortable. However, by day 2, the material had ripped on one of the shoes. Otherwise a good shoe. Sometimes the quality on Sierra Trading Post is hit or miss though.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. A review that actually helps...

The sole cushion is quite stiff/firm which is good if you are back-packing with these. If you are expecting softness, this shoe is not for you. But they are comfortable, and sized correctly. Perhaps a bit narrower if you have wide feet.
They are not water-proof, so if that is what you are looking for, not for you. These are for the need of ventilated shoes. But why would you need a low ankle waterproof shoe? Plus you can spray a waterproofing agent on them.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
