4.0 out of 5 stars. nice warm bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Eli from Boston MA on Thursday, February 3, 2011veyr warm boots, could be more solid for vertical ice, but overall good. I would still do more testings and updater review. This is one size smaller keep it in mind ordering.
About the zipper .... FYI all zippers mast be lubricated if you take LS batura they do not say to lubricat the zipper ((and the this is not water proof)) and this is why you brake it every year. Scarpa is true enought to say you need to do it and it is water proof.
You don't need to carry lubrication with you to the mountain but lubricate it from time to time and not only for this zipper for others too and you will see the difference- Best Uses: Alpine Routes
- Cons: Bulky
- Pros: Comfortable
- Sizing: Feels half size too small
- Was this a gift?: No
- Width: Feels true to width

3.0 out of 5 stars. Grease?!Reviewed by Goin Downhill Bill from Highlands, NC on Wednesday, March 24, 2010Careful if you get these. Zipper must be greased to work properly. Area where gaiter meets boot will hold snow and keep you wet. May be fine for one day events were there is no need to remove boots were snow might get between gaiter and boot or zipper needs re-greaseing. Small diameter laces are rough on hands and use a cord lock instead of lace lock hardware. I don't want to fool around with all the gadgets when the rest of the group is ready to go on an alpine start. Do you? Also hard to tuck pants in a gaitor that is really to short especially in deep snow. Cannot recommend because of high maintenance. Sending back and will stick with LaSportiva Nuptse's and OR crocodiles.
- Cons: Difficult to put on, Will hold snow, Zipper requires grease
- Describe Yourself: Avid Climber
- Sizing: Feels half size too small

4.0 out of 5 stars. Strange fitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dan from NY on Friday, February 5, 2010Toe box is extremely small vertically and I experienced a ton of heel lift. My normal size is 45.5 and I ordered the 46. This also felt like it didn't hold my ankle at all.
Will work for others, definitely didn't work for me.- Pros: Durable, Simple
- Sizing: Feels half size too small
