Maybe size down if you don't and if you are trim in hips, as other reviewer said. I unfortunately do have big waist. 14R usually fits. No 14Rs at the time so ordered 14P and 16P. No good; 14P rise was too short, 16P too big in waist. Then 14R became available and is a perfect fit. I may wear these in summer as they are so lightweight. Good for air conditioned rooms. May wear silk long underwear in winter.

I usually wear a 6-8 in pants, and returned the 6 for a 4, which fits well at the waist, and quite trim otherwise. If you are curvy, I doubt these would work for you. But if you have a straighter line, these are nice.
