4.0 out of 5 stars. All but the elbow patchesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from San Francisco on Friday, May 22, 2015This is truly a "workhorse" sweater that one reviewer described. The wool is substantial, and the sweater is well made. I also agree with other reviewers who determined that the elbow patches were odd. They are far smaller than expected and are quite puckery around the edges. Had thought about simply removing them (and I may yet) but then I thought maybe they might help a little bit to prevent premature wear, as I will be using this sweater for ranch work in cooler weather. I sized up so I could wear it over a knit shirt, and that was a good guess. Seems quite a bit longer than my other Peregrine sweaters, but by sizing up the bottom ribbing isn't too tight for comfort and mobility. So this is a great quality sweater and will likely hold up for years, but those elbow patches are just so weird!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very warmVerified Buyer Reviewed by queensgirl from Queens, NY on Tuesday, February 10, 2015I own several sweaters from Peregrine by J.G. Glover. All are non-itchy (yeah!), although I must wear a base layer under each one. This particular sweater is perhaps the heaviest & the most utilitarian of all of them. I don't particularly care for the suede elbow patches, but won't try to remove them for fear of damaging the sweater. But it does keep me really warm & comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm sweaterVerified Buyer Reviewed by Southerner from S Carolina on Wednesday, February 4, 2015Merino wool warm but not itchy, I love them. I have ordered three different ones of the same brand from Sierra this winter and don't want to wear any other sweaters when it is cold for my morning walk.

3.0 out of 5 stars. good qualityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Sameliab from reno on Friday, January 16, 2015but the elbow patches are small and unattractive. the wool feels soft but overall the sweater was not appealing in the taupe/brown that I choose. 5'7" and 128lbs, the small fits with room to layer underneath.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Best everyday sweaterVerified Buyer Reviewed by Linnie from Wintery north on Friday, January 9, 2015This is a perfect sweater for those who live in cooler climates. It is far too warm for people who live in over-heated houses.
If you like to be toasty, this is the one to buy; it's super comfortable, long enough, a great go-with-everything color. Soft. -

4.0 out of 5 stars. Too narrowVerified Buyer Reviewed by Susie W from MT on Friday, December 5, 2014I had to send the sweater back because the ribbing made it too narrow in the waistline. Don't like to see bulges…

4.0 out of 5 stars. Very snugVerified Buyer Reviewed by Claudia from Pittsburgh on Wednesday, April 30, 2014I liked the heft and warmth of this sweater and also the longer length. Unfortunately it was way to snug on me. I wear either an XL or XXL (18-20). This fit more like a 16.
